Merit Awards for Volunteerism
For 2025, Bath Volunteers for Service (BVS) will award two or more one-thousand-dollar ($1000) cash awards and a Certificate of Commendation to graduating seniors who have demonstrated that volunteer service has become a part of their emerging philosophy of life.
The contribution of volunteers to American society is invaluable, and the influence that volunteers exert in their own community commands high praise. The Bath Volunteers for Service acknowledges the value of volunteering. Through this Merit Award, BVS wishes to recognize young adults who have given significant unpaid volunteer time to their community and to encourage volunteering throughout their lives.
The applicants must be a graduating high school senior or the equivalent, either attending Revere High School or living in the Revere Local School District, and attend an area high school or be home-schooled. The Merit Awards Committee, chaired by the Education chairperson, shall select the recipients and will present the award checks and certificates at the Senior Awards Assembly or equivalent.

Tuition Grant for College or Vocational School
Bath Volunteers for Service will award a $1,500 per year tuition grant annually, for up to a maximum of four (4) consecutive years, to a graduating senior from Revere High School who has verified financial need, demonstrates academic excellence, and volunteer commitment. This tuition grant requires full-time study at an accredited college, university, trade, or vocational school, and is eligible for renewal annually if the student maintains a 2.0 GPA and full-time status. Applications for this tuition scholarship grant should be made using the Revere Local Scholarships form, which can be picked up at the Revere High School guidance office.
